1. Remove some easily lost accessories on the outer surface. This U-shaped rubber tube is the vent of the car light assembly, through which dust and mud water enter the interior of the light. After unplugging the vent pipe, you can see a sponge filter responsible for filtering the air entering the lights. But after a long period of use, this sponge has aged. I suggest that you replace this small sponge after use for about two years to prevent it from aging and losing its ability to filter dust.

2. In fact, the most difficult part of refurbishing driving lights is how to remove the housing safely. First, use a screwdriver to pry off the clips that fix the housing. After all prying, don't take off the housing directly because the led driving lights are always waterproof and dustproof. Sealant is added between the lenses and the lamp housing. It is super strong at room temperature and must be heated to soften the gel.

3. Next is the heating process. The led driving light body is relatively large so the choice of heating method is essential.

Simply heating with a hairdryer is not enough because the area for direct heating is not big enough. This site has not been heated yet, the other side has cooled down, and it will never be possible to open the housing. To solve this problem is relatively simple, just heat the entire led driving lights assembly.

4. Put the led driving lights assembly as a whole into a large cardboard box and dig two holes in the box, one for air intake and the other for air output. Use a household hair dryer to adjust the hot air shield, stuff it into the air inlet reserved on the carton, calculate the time, and heat it for 20 minutes.

5. After the interior is all clear, begin to reinstall the lights. The joint between the front cover and the light body needs to be sealed to prevent the intrusion of muddy water, so a ring of the sealant must be applied before installation.

6.After the front cover is buckled in place, reinstall the screws one by one. As there are screws around the lights, I suggest installing them diagonally to prevent the other joint surfaces from being unable to buckle after single-sided installation
